Update: Stories, art and reviews added to the Master Lists in the last two weeks of August 2006
Here are the stories, art and reviews that have been added to the Master Lists during the last two weeks of August 2006.
Just in case it's not clear, we don't list all Snape/Harry stories. We are neither exactly a recs list nor a comprehensive pairing list. For a fuller explanation of what we're doing and the choices we make please check our FAQ.
Please be warned that the stories and art below are slash, many of which are rated NC-17 for adult content and so are inappropriate for minors.
Some of the links from the list below take you directly to the stories and pictures. Where we know that the author or website owner prefers we link to their main page, we have done so. Therefore you may have to click a few links to get to the listed story. If anyone knows of any errors we have made in that regard please comment here and we will fix it.
Tarte Death Row. Harry has been captured by the DE (during the ongoing civil war between the Order and the DE, after the end of HBP) and Snape is one of his wardens. The Snape in this story is his own man, in some respects. He's as interesting in his ambiguity as the Snape in In Between Days by Atrata, although clearly not nearly so dark a personality. But his loyalties are just as hard to pin down.
There are intriguing, somewhat unusual characterizations of all the characters we see here. Part of that is Snape's POV, and in part it's because the author herself seems to have an unsentimental, unsparing view of both sides in the struggle. The story has intelligent attention to detail, and she clearly has a real plot going on here, too.
