Happy New Year!
Here are the stories and art work that have been added to the Master Lists during the last two weeks of December 2006.
Just in case it's not clear, we don't list all Snape/Harry stories. We are neither exactly a recs list nor a comprehensive pairing list. For a fuller explanation of what we're doing and the choices we make please check our FAQ.

5:56p - Clipped Wings by Theresa Ann Wymer
Title: Clipped Wings Author: Theresa Ann Wymer Rating: R Warnings: Angst, references to prior character deaths. Story Link: here Author's Website: here Author's Live Journal: tekalynn Summary: After catastrophe, Harry deals with survivor's guilt and finds hope for himself and others.
Reviewer: Gaycrow
Very well written - the story line is totally different to any others I’ve read. The Muggle world has turned against the witches and wizards in the Magical world, and has either destroyed them or taken away their powers. Except for Harry, who comes across Snape at a “slave” auction.
These few sentences sum up sum up Theresa's writing style, which is easy to read, and not overly-descriptive:
“Again Snape pressed Harry to the bed. This time, he did it in a calm, almost meditative, fashion, never breaking eye contact as he did so. Harry was quiet. He'd said all he needed to say. It was his partner's turn to decide how far he wanted to take things, and how.“
There is also some interesting interaction between Harry and Dudley Dursley which isn’t often seen, and I particularly liked how Snape and Harry “name” each other. I think the author gets it exactly right.
The theme of "clipped wings" is clever, too, and makes this one of the better Snape/Harry stories around.

6:15p - Crucius by Dolores Crane
Title: Crucius Author: Dolores Crane Rating: NC-17 Story Link: Here Summary: Harry hates being a schoolboy and Snape hates being a teacher; what else do they have in common, and how can they escape? Angst, Romance, First Time
Reviewer: Gaycrow
Harry decides he’s had enough of exams and walks out of school, but realises he needs lessons in Defence Against the Dark Arts, and who better to teach him than Snape?
The writer captures both characters very well. I particularly like the way she has Harry walking out on his studies - I can see him doing that. He has so much to put up with, and ordinary wizarding school-work would seem a waste of time to him, knowing he has to eventually kill Voldemort.
I really love the way the writer has Harry and Severus come together. This is the best sex/love writing I think I've seen. It's exactly how I believe Snape would interact with Harry in my perfect Harry Potter universe - "When Snape lost control, he *really* lost it." And I love the way she brings a little humour into it, with Harry comparing their discovery of each other's bodies to Quidditch. (Only Harry could do that!)
The only little quibble I have is the ending, which I don't really understand; and I feel the story finishes in a rush. However it's a story I would read more than once. Another favourite.

11:12p - Interview With DementorDelta
We've decided to do a series of "Author Interviews" at The Snarry Reader. For our first interview we were lucky enough to snag dementordelta, one of the most popular Snape/Harry authors in the fandom. Some of her best known stories include Parseltongue-tied, The Devil Will Drag You Under, Over Tea, and The Dreaming Spires. You can find her stories archived at the Snape/Harry archive, Detention, and also at Skyehawke. A smaller selection of her stories can be found at Delta's own website, Serpensortia.
