Summary:Harry's cursed, and he comes to Snape to ask for a cure.

Reviewer: Aubrem

In this long, romantic story, a grownup Harry returns to Hogwarts to ask Snape to cure him of a curse. I love the opening scene as the sexual tension takes Snape by surprise and Harry sees his opportunity. As ever, Aucta is all about the dialogue as Harry and Severus banter and flirt over a course of days while Snape brews and administers the necessary potion. The interaction becomes more serious as Snape's past comes into play and finally a bit drama gives us a nice emotional climax.

Aucta obviously loves the character of Severus Snape, in Harry's words:

" for all the mockery Snape cast his way over the melodrama that was his life, he himself was more dramatic than Harry could ever dream of being. Snape was a study in extremes: cold, stone-faced silences and shrieking, hex-hurling, glass-flinging rages, childish sulks and brilliant insights, pointless malice and heart-stopping courage."

Her Harry is no pale shadow next to him either - he is witty, courageous and unusually mature. His maturity and respect for Snape's emotions is unusual in fanfic and an Aucta Sinistra trademark.

I also have to give her credit for one of the best examples of wizarding swear words I've come across: "Hecate's paps, boy, have you forgotten how to dress yourself?"
